Meet Sarah

Meet Sarah, the gardener behind Nature’s Helpers — designing and caring for landscapes that support healthy soil, native plants, and thriving ecosystems across Los Angeles.

I grew up on the East Coast, with roots that eventually led me to the University of Texas at Austin, where I earned my degree. In 2004, Los Angeles became my home — the place where I’ve built a life, put down roots, and have been building gardens since 2014.

My work extends beyond the gardens I design. I serve as a Board Member for a local nonprofit. I also run the Growing Garden at my son’s elementary school. That same spirit of stewardship inspired me to start a Gardening with Purpose group in my neighborhood, where community and nature grow side by side.

Through my edible and native landscaping company, Nature’s Helpers, LLC, I care for soil, plants, and people — creating gardens that are meant to be lived in, harvested from, and enjoyed at the table.
